Village Halls Week 2022

Monday, January 24, 2022

Village Halls Week is a national campaign instigated by National ACRE to shine a spotlight on the contribution England’s 10,000+ village halls make to rural communities. The week, which runs from 24th to 30th January, provides an opportunity for hall management committees to celebrate their work and get inspiration from others.

The annual campaign, now in its fifth year, will be launched by Lord Benyon at Bucklebury Village Hall, Berkshire on the morning of 24th January.

Halls do much to improve life for local residents, often providing the only local space where people gather, combating loneliness, and delivering a wide range of activities and services.

During the week, halls are encouraged to pledge to do something different – whether that be extending their offer to their community, reducing their impact on the environment or becoming more financially sustainable.

You can download a media pack via National ACRE’s website. This contains guidance on how you can get involved, the logo for the campaign for you to use on your website, editable posters to advertise your events and other images that you can use on social media.

And, as part of the week, Northamptonshire ACRE will be holding a networking event for community building trustees and others who help to run these valuable assets.  This will take place online on Wednesday 26th January.  For more information about this and Village Halls Week 2022 please contact our Community Facilities Adviser: [email protected].
