Networking Event - Village Halls Week 2021

Monday, January 25, 2021

Village Halls Week starts on Monday, 25th January.  This year it’s a very special celebration because not only is it the ACRE Network’s centenary year it’s also our 75th birthday.  Northamptonshire ACRE was founded in 1946 and it’s been our privilege to support village halls and their rural communities ever since.  So, to mark this noteworthy year, we (working with National ACRE) have organised a packed schedule of events to celebrate Village Halls Week.  You can find a complete list of what's happening here.

And, as part of the celebrations, we would like to extend a cordial invitation to community building trustees to join us for a virtual networking event on Tuesday, 26th January, from 10.30am.  This is a FREE event and will include a training session on safeguarding for village halls. Do come and join us if you can - please contact [email protected].

Finally, we're delighted that BBC Radio Northampton will be helping us to celebrate the week. On Monday, 25th January, their Breakfast and Drive programmes will be focusing on the importance of village halls  – particularly over the past 12 months – and the challenges they face.  There’ll be interviews with Northants ACRE’s Community Facilities Adviser and trustees from Weedon Village Hall, Roade Village Hall, Broughton Village Hall, Moulton Community Centre, Yelvertoft Village Hall and Stanwick Village Hall.  You can listen here.
