Bringing the Rural to the Town: the Future of the Hunsbury Hill Farm

Tuesday 14th May 2019, 3pm to 6pm

Hunsbury Hill Centre, NN4 9QX

NACRE is based at the Hunsbury Hill Farmstead, an historic farm that was once part of the Delapré estate. Built in the late 18th century it is believed to be a rare extant version of an early ‘model farm’. The charity is very fortunate to own the site yet it also has responsibilities towards its upkeep and use. To this end, NACRE is about to embark on an ambitious project that will include the restoration of the buildings and the improvement of the land so that Hunsbury Hill Farmstead will act as a hub for the local community, a focus for its members across the county and a centre for action with rural communities.

We are inviting organisations, companies and individuals who could be potential supporters of the project and who could guide and advise this small charity in tackling this large project to a presentation on Tuesday 14th May. There willl be an introduction to the proposed project, a short tour of the site and an opportunity to discuss how we may proceed and how supporters can help. For more details please call Elaine O'Leary on 01604 765888.  If you would like to attend please book a free place via our Eventbrite page.
