Covid-19 Information for Village Halls
Roadmap out of Lockdown - Update
You can read a copy of National ACRE's update for community buildings to help them navigate the Government's 4 step roadmap out of lockdown here. The 4 step roadmap means there will be a gradual easing of restricions indoors and outdoors from steps 1 to 4 (all the dates are "not earlier than"):
Step 1a - 8 March
Step 1b - 29 March
Step 2 - 12 April
Step 3 - 17 May
Step 4 - 21 June
All being well, community buildings should be able to host controlled indoor events from 17th May. Committees can find further information in National ACRE's update (as above) and in the Government's guidance - reopening businesses and venues in England.
Re-opening after Lockdown - Guidance
National ACRE has produced a comprehensive information sheet for the phased reopening of community buildings during the Government's 4 step roadmap out of lockdown. Now in its 10th iteration (dated 22 April 2021), it provides invaluable guidance and resources for hall committees about how to make community buildings Covid-19 secure, including (for example) carrying out a Covid-19 Risk Assessment. You can download a copy of the information sheet here.
Charity Commission - Covid 19 Guidance
The Charity Commission has produced guidance to help charities during Covid-19 and includes information about cancelling or postponing AGMs and other meetings.
