Neighbourhood Plans

Neighbourhood Plans! Everybody’s talking about them… How much will it cost, how long will it take, who should be involved, what’s the process? Why should you do one?
What’s in it for your village?

Introduced through the Localism Act 2011, neighbourhood plans can be a great tool for a community to shape development in their area through the production of Neighbourhood Development Plans, Neighbourhood Development Orders and Community Right to Build Orders.

When a Neighbourhood Plan is produced, it cannot block development that is already part of the Local Plan but it can help shape where that development will go and what it will look like.

Let us take the worry out of planning!

Why not let our Rural Officer help you negotiate your way through the whole process? Rebecca, our Rural Officer, has over 10 years experience of the planning system in England so if you wold like more information about the support and services we can offer, please call Rebecca Breakwell on 01604 825884 or email
